A Pistol River concert is an evening's adventure that lightens your heart, inspires your soul, and sends you home stronger and brighter for the journey. Drive along Highway 101, search for the turn-off - the innocuous Pistol River Post Office sign, a subtle widening in the highway - tiny clues that take you to an unassuming – yet magical venue. South Pistol River – Old Highway 101, the road less traveled, reveals a matronly building at the very heart of this tiny community. The Friendship Hall is home to the Pistol River Concert Association and a gift to music and music lovers from ancestors long gone. Hiding behind humble walls, it is a community's living room, standing witness to all manner of rural passages including over 20 precious years of monthly celebrations of music, coastal living and friendship.

Betty and the Boy
Betty and the Boy defy simple categorization. Though the quintet’s string-laden melodies occasionally anchor them in the territories of folk, bluegrass, or minimalist rock, they’re more at home in the cracks in-between. It’s from these deeper, often darker, places where Betty Jaeger’s voice reaches up, takes you by the hand, and invites you along for the ride – a difficult offer to refuse.
